HOMEMADE POTATO PUREE

Ingredients for 6 servings:

2 ¼ lb potatoes
7 fluid ounce (200ml.) milk
1oz (25 gr.) butter
Spices: salt and ground black pepper to taste
For decoration: roasted red pepper strips

Instructions:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces. Put them in a deep pot. Pour over with 2.1 pints
(1 liter) of water. Add 1 teaspoon salt. Put the potatoes to cook over medium heat until
soften. The time depends on the type of the potatoes, it is usually about 30 minutes. Then
drain the potatoes. Mash them with a fork, add the milk (Optionally, instead of a fork you
can use a mixer for mashing the potatoes). Put the puree back on the stove for 1-2 minutes.
Stir for not to burn. Remove it from the heat and add the butter. Stir. Serve the puree
warm, sprinkle it with pepper. Garnish each serving with strips of roasted red pepper.
